With the new motion and presence sensors in the 4000 series, the most common sensor-based standard requirements and everyday scenarios can be implemented simply and successfully in public buildings. The pragmatic entry-level models provide a solid foundation for intelligent, energy-saving and environmentally friendly lighting management, taking into account the prevailing daylight – ideal for offices, meeting rooms, passageways or larger areas. The high-performance infrared sensors offer a reliable 360° range, which can be adapted to your precise requirements with insertable cover caps in a matching colour. The motion detector MD IR 4360-8 and presence detector PD IR 4360-8 sense motion within a range of 8 m, while the motion detector MD IR 4360-24 and presence detector PD IR 4360-24 extend to a range of 24 m. The two presence detectors (PD) are equipped with an additional presence detector function that covers a range of 6 and 7.5 m respectively. All sensors in the 4000 series are available as variants for concealed wiring, surface mounting or recessed ceiling installation. Thanks to their round design and magnetic plug-in connection, they are quick and easy to install. To do so, the load module is simply fitted with the respective sensor head. The sensors can be conveniently configured and operated using a Smart Remote or potentiometer, and offer an LED feedback function for easy commissioning. The motion detectors (MD) are equipped with a COM1 interface, while the presence detectors (PD) come with COM1, KNX and DALI-2 IPD. All COM1 sensors feature a push-button that acts as a manual override function and a full and semi-automatic mode. The detection range can be expanded with parallel switching of up to 10 sensors. The motion and presence detectors in the 4000 series fulfil the requirements of sensNORM, have a switching output of 2000 watt or 500 watt (LED), and are suitable for mounting heights of up to 4 m. While the motion detectors are only available in white, the presence detectors are available in white and black.
